The Foundation of Respect
Choose the level of family involvement that suits your journey. We support traditional values with modern flexibility.
The Wali is the primary point of contact. All communication passes through them first to ensure total transparency.
The Wali can view all chat history in real-time, providing a layer of accountability while you lead the conversation.
A subtle approach where the Wali receives email summaries of activity, perfect for those seeking independent but guided connection.
We value quality over quantity. Our daily limit encourages you to consider every profile deeply.
No "hey" allowed. Every connection starts with a meaningful response to a profile prompt.

Built-in anti-ghosting protocols and respectful photo exchange rules that keep dignity at the forefront.
Smart triggers suggest meeting at partner UWS cafes once compatibility is established, moving from digital to real-world.
Comprehensive profile framework balancing spiritual goals with life ambitions and shared worldly visions.
How Nikkah.io Works
Nikkah.io replaces ghosting, scammers, and mindless swiping with a system rooted in real community, Islamic adab, and the UWS Baseline Friend Graph.
The Trust Engine
We replace the "Distance" metric of standard apps with the Proximity metric of the UWS Baseline Friend Graph. You don't just see a profile — you see the full context of who that person is within your trusted community.
The algorithm surfaces 2nd-degree connections first — people you already share mutual friends with at your local Masjid.
Your 1st-degree UWS network can anonymously endorse your character. Real accountability, zero awkwardness.
A verified checkmark confirms active Masjid attendance and UWS membership — eliminating fake and scammer profiles entirely.
Onboarding & Profile
A 10–15 minute onboarding designed to filter out the unserious. Every profile is structured across two intentional pillars so matches are based on real compatibility, not aesthetics alone.

Photo Privacy Toggle: Blur photos for everyone, unblur only for direct matches, or reveal to your 2nd-degree network. You control your visibility at every step.
The Wali Integration Module
The most critical feature of Nikkah.io — designed to be completely frictionless while honouring every family's level of involvement.
Matching & Discovery
We deliberately slow the matching process down. A higher Time-to-Match is a feature, not a bug — it signals users are being serious.
Asynchronous liking is rate-limited to 3 per day to prevent mindless swiping and encourage deliberate consideration.
Users must send a short, mandatory prompt to initiate a match — no "hey." Every first message must demonstrate genuine interest.

Messaging & Adab
Every interaction is governed by thoughtful guardrails that protect the dignity of both parties.
If a chat sits idle for 7 days, both users are prompted: "Are you still interested?" No response gracefully archives the match.
Unrequested photos are blocked. Photo reveals require a mutual double opt-in — both parties must consent before images are shared.
Once a chat reaches a meaningful message threshold, the UI suggests scheduling an in-person meeting at your local UWS-hosted café.
Native OS screenshot blocking on all profile photos and chat threads — the same technology used by Telegram's secret chats.
Telemetry & Success Metrics
We measure what matters — real trust, real meetings, and real marriages. Not swipe counts.
Primary Metric
The percentage of users who successfully link a guardian to their account. Our north star.
Secondary Metric
Matches that archive with the "We met offline" reason code — the truest measure of real-world success.
Negative Metric (Intentionally Slow)
We want this higher than Tinder. Deliberate consideration produces more meaningful connections.
The Heart of Nikkah.io
“We wanted to build more than an app. We wanted to build a digital sanctuary where finding a soulmate feels as sacred as the union itself.”
